Avvocatura per i Diritti LGBTI
Avvocatura per i Diritti LGBTI is an Italian association founded in 2007. Its purpose is to answer the need to inform and disseminate the culture and respect for the rights of LGBTI people in Italy.
The Association members are lawyers and practitioners included in the relevant professional bodies.
In addition to the legal assistance, for which it has been activated the dedicated email address firstname.lastname@example.org, Avvocatura per i Diritti LGBTI also plays an important role in organizing and supporting important training sessions and conferences with national and international experts (in general, sponsored by public bodies and, in some cases, accredited by professional bodies).
Other activities include research, publication of monograph concerned with LGBTI issues and advocacy.
The Association has also created the “European Lenford Research Centre on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity”, located in Bergamo, with a library of about 500 volumes and an electronic database of over 1000 items.
